Israel’s VC echo chamber is abuzz after yesterday’s expose on the returns of the local venture capital funds. In her “tell all” piece (English here), Inbal Orpaz at The Marker did quite a piece of investigative journalism, piecing together the typically very privately kept returns of many Israeli VC funds. Orpaz’s unflattering portrayal of the returns of Israeli venture funds was used quite joyfully by Israeli institutional investors as a justification for their decades-old position not to invest in venture capital generally and Israeli venture funds specifically.
